Thanks and More

I want to first of all say thanks for all the sweet wishes and prayers on yesterday's post! It truly is an amazing time in our lives and we are so thankful to God for His blessings.

Now, onto a D-Man update that I'm sure you have been waiting patiently for.

He's officially obsessed and the Queen B couldn't be happier.

Nascar Racing has got his attention and won't let go. He drives a Home Depot race car outside and works on it like the pit guys (as he calls them).

He prefers to watch Nascar on tv instead of cartoons and will watch for hours with me (yes, my name is Amy and I watch Nascar).

He got a remote control Home Depot car for Easter and was thrilled that the Easter Bunny would know exactly what he wanted...could it be he's been asking for this particular car for months EVERY SINGLE TIME we enter the doors of Wal-Mart?

And he makes me announce...as in announce his races. Oh, and I have to wave the flag.

But, isn't he the cutest thing that you've ever seen? Queen B, are you so proud?

Saltines, Sprite & Sleep

These are all things one might give their child if they've been sick...they can also be what this pregnant momma has been living on for the past almost 12 weeks.

That's right...we are pregnant!!!!!!

God is so good and has blessed us and we couldn't be happier.

It hasn't been an easy first trimester...weekly blood tests to check levels, altering of Synthroid to make sure my thyroid is working properly, a scare at 6 weeks, daily progesterone suppositories and lots and lots of nausea (anyone want some?), but I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Did I tell you that we are having a baby????

D-Man already wants to know when the baby is coming out...it's going to be a long summer; and, the questions of how the baby got in there and how the baby is coming out have already started. But isn't it wonderful?

Because...we are having a baby!!!!!!

I ask for your earnest prayers for me and the baby for the next 28 weeks. I hope you will embark with us on the ride and be able to see the glory of God shining through.

Shout Out!

Here's a shout out to my Mom today! It is her something and 9 birthday.

She is wonderful, wonderful, wonderful and I love her, love her, love her!

Those things that make me smile...

Here are some things that make me smile today...

1) That D-Man is sitting in my lap telling me he's still my baby.

2) That the tomb is empty...Jesus reigns!

3) D-Man's sweet laugh.

4) Husband loving me so much.

5) Reese's chocolate eggs...more than one to be exact.

6) Easter Sunday!

Forget-me-Not Fridays

Our lives move rapidly, change daily, experience triumphs and failures, but through it all, D-Man never ceases to carry on with a great sense of humor and energy that I wish we all possessed. Oh to be 3 again and not care about anything.

Here are some things I wouldn't want to ever forget:


1.) As D-Man was getting ready for bed the other night, he said to Husband, "I love you good buddy." And I shed a tear.

2.) We were visiting at Husband's parents the other day and PaPa decided to say that a show was "stupid." Well, for those of you who don't know the D-House rules, the word stupid is not used (and D-Man knows it). So, in keeping with the D-House rules (and even though we weren't at our house), he said to me, "Mom, PaPa said stupid!" I think I've trained him right (at least in this one area.)

3.) D-Man decided this afternoon that since mommy was taking a shower, he needed to take a bath. The bathtub is right across from the shower, so I can watch him while I shower. As I was getting dressed after the shower, I asked him if he was ready to get out, to which he replied, "I still don't smell very good." Boys...do they ever smell good?
