All about Love

Valentine's Day is fast approaching, ya'll.

And so the question for today is, what do you think about the holiday?

Do you prefer flowers, candy and cards?

Or, are practical gifts more your style?

My inquiring mind wants to know. Please tell.

That's all. Come back tomorrow. Hopefully there will be something with more substance then.

I don't have to have the flowers, etc., but I would like to have a meaningful gift. I once got an aloe vera plant. It was obviously the only living thing wally world still had the night before valentine's day. I was so mad. Then, we went through a bad year, and that darn aloe vera plant turned into a very sentimental gift. . .Oh, back to the subject--chocolate is good. : )

It's a bit unconventional, but since our anniversary is two weeks after V-Day, we make Valentine's all about the kids. We usually do something fun as a family (this year we're painting pottery) and give them each a small gift. I'm not into flowers b/c I kill them, I want a gift that lasts! Usually my hubby gets me a cd or a book I've been wanting. But then he spoils me for our anniversary so I can't complain. I get chocolate for myself all the time, so Valentine's Day is usually chocolate-free!

I like flowers, but not expensive ones... I am thrilled with a bouquet of tulips from Wal-Mart! We usually celebrate by going out on a date together some time around V-day. We do something small for our girls.

I don't love getting flowers. They die.

I do love chocolates. Or a sweet card. Nothing major.

Feel free to pass this info on to my hubby.
