Inquiring minds want to know...what books are hanging out on your bedside table at the moment?
Any that have just taken you by storm?
Any that you've started and stopped more times than you can remember?
Any that you've thrown out the window all together?
Speak up...we are all waiting!

Top 8 (my bedside table is actually the space on the floor between the dresser and bed and is quite full of books--hubby has the bedside table):
1. My Bible
2. An alternate version of the Bible. . .
3. My devotional book: God Chicks (I think)
4. my prayer journal
5. the Potluck club (just finished)
6. the last book of the Yada yada prayer group series (finished it prior to #5)
7. a parenting book about changing kids' behavior. . .
8. refer to #5 and realize that I desperately need a #8!
How about you? You didn't tell us what you were reading.
Hey Amy, I just finished Greg Laurie's Lost Boy which blessed me so. Also, a Kevin Lehman parenting book, Boundaries with Teens by John Townsend, and a couple more that don't readily come to mind...
These are currently be neglected as I really feel the need to press more into the Word this season, so I plan to come back to some of the other books a little later. I'm currently enjoying my husband's copy of The Message and am reading the book of James.
You always have interesting recommendations...if you have any new devotionals that you'd recommend for couples, please let me know! I know there are several out there. Thanks.
I'm looking for some new ones, so I'll be checking back.
My Bible Study group is reading Land Mines in the Life of a Christian by Charles Stanley. It is great.
I am loving the book by Nancy Beach
called Gifted To Lead: The Art of Leading as a Woman in the Church - it is great! Very practical advice for women if you are in ministry.
And my small group just started reading Leap Over A Wall by Eugene H. Peterson (translator of The Message) It is the story of David. Good so far!
The Twentieth Wife for my book club - this has been a hard read for me. I just can't get into it.
Soul Cravings - Erwin McManus
Oh, so good.
my NIV Women of Faith Bible (love it!!), my NKJ Spirit Filled Life bible, Elizabeth George's "a mom after Gods own heart" (haven't started) and "a woman after God's own heart" (liking it so far), a Joyce meyer devotional (all of her stuff speaks right to my heart!), the happiest toddler on the block, what to expect the first year and "Diaper Diaries" (hilarious). Oh and Peter Rabbit. :-)
